It’s been working for 45 years. An event called Shinerama – now Canada’s largest post-secondary school fundraiser.

In 2008, 35,000 students at 60 university and college campuses across Canada raised almost $1 million for cystic fibrosis research.

Since 1964, shiners have raised more than $19 million by shining one pair of shoes, or one car, by selling one raffle ticket, one hot dog or burger at a time!
